Juhász primed to go for Lyon's jugular

Defender Roland Juhász is not allowing a 5-1 deficit to daunt him as RSC Anderlecht look to turn the tables on Olympique Lyonnais, telling uefa.com: "We want to take revenge for our fans too."

Slim chance
Taken apart at the Stade de Gerland last week, the Belgian side's chances of reaching the group stage look slim, but Hungarian Juhász is adamant the second leg at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium will be a different story. "Last week it was very difficult for us, since we were 3-0 down so early," he told uefa.com. "But that lies in the past and now we look to the future."

'A different match'
"We want to prove that the difference between the teams is not that great," the 26-year-old added. "Lyon were favourites and the first half went well for them. Now we want to show that we can do better than that. We are playing at home now, so it will be a different match especially because we want to take revenge for our fans too."

Sivasspor spirit
Anderlecht beat Sivasspor 5-0 at home in the first leg of their third qualifying round tie, but the Turkish side struck early and won 2-0 in the return – Juhász was impressed by their spirit. "We need the same mentality Sivasspor had," he explained. "Everything went great for us in the first leg of that tie but the second was not so good; maybe it will be the other way round this time."

Defensive changes
The Brussels side's defence came in for some criticism after the Lyon game, and there were changes for the weekend's 2-0 win against SV Zulte Waregem. Ondřej Mazuch partnering Juhász in the centre while Olivier Deschacht moved out to left-back as Anderlecht maintained their 100 per cent start after four games. However, Juhász did not blame the rearguard for the loss in Lyon.

'We always believe'
"When you lose, the defence always gets criticised but you do not defend with one keeper and four defenders; you defend with the whole team," he said. Should Anderlecht succeed in playing as one at home against Lyon, miracles may happen. "We always believe in ourselves, otherwise we would not be professionals," said Juhász. "A 4-0 win is not easy, but in football everything is possible."
