FC Internazionale Milano have taken Austria striker Marko Arnautovic on a season-long loan from FC Twente with the option to sign him on a permanent basis next summer.
Proposed fee
The 20-year-old, who is recovering from a foot injury which will keep him sidelined for the next two months, will move to Inter for a reported €9m fee should he play ten games for the Nerazzurri this term. Arnautovic scored 12 goals in 28 league appearances for Twente last season and has won five caps for Austria since making his debut in October.
All-new strikeforce
The promising forward has earned comparisons with a young Zlatan Ibrahimović, the Swedish forward who left Inter for FC Barcelona last week. Following the summer departures of Ibrahimović, Hernán Crespo and Julio Cruz, Arnautovic will form part of a revamped forward battery from which José Mourinho can choose, with Samuel Eto'o and Diego Milito also arriving at San Siro this summer. Italian champions Inter start their UEFA Champions League campaign in the group stage next month.
