Maccabi Haifa FC put Glentoran FC to the sword for the second time in eight days to rack up a resounding 10-0 aggregate success and a third qualifying round tie against FK Aktobe.
Bello double
Yero Bello scored early on to worry the Northern Irish side that another heavy reverse may have been on the cards but the hosts held the Israeli champions at bay until the second half, when further strikes from Bello, Peter Masilela and Shlomi Arbeitman gave the scoreline a realistic overview.
Second-half strikes
The Glens were quickly behind when Bello latched on to a mistake from goalkeeper Elliott Morris to steer in the opener on nine minutes. Gary Hamilton's free-kick almost levelled before the break but the visitors were more clinical, as demonstrated when Bello converted a cross eight minutes after half-time. The third goal came on 62 minutes when Masilela scored at the second attempt following a fine save from Morris and the double-figure aggregate score was reached in added time when Arbeitman poached a rebound from another save from the home custodian.
