Inter first
The former ACF Fiorentina goalkeeper said: "It's a great honour to know that signing a two-year contract at the age of 37 is a first for a keeper at Inter. I wish to thank the club for their faith in me. I'll do my best to repay them in the best way. I feel good physically and mentally and I'm enjoying my time in Milan. Inter make me feel young, like a winner."
Back-up role
Toldo is in his eighth season with Inter, though he has been acting as back-up to Brazilian Júlio César since 2005/06. The 28-times capped international has won three scudetti, three super cups and two Italian Cups since his move from Fiorentina. He has played in two cup games and one UEFA Champions League games this season. Inter visit Old Trafford next week for the concluding leg of their UEFA Champions League first knockout round tie against Manchester United FC with the scores level at 0-0 after the first instalment.
