Juventus left Stamford Bridge cursing their inability to score an away goal but with confidence intact that they can overturn Chelsea FC's narrow advantage from the UEFA Champions League first knockout round first leg.
'A bit unlucky'
Defender Nicola Legrottaglie spoke bullishly of the Italian team's chances, saying: "I am very confident for the second leg. In the second half tonight I only saw one team, Juventus. It doesn't often happen that you see a team come here and create as much as we did. We pressed them and created some good chances, particularly in the second half. Maybe we have just been a bit unlucky. In the end, the only thing we lacked was a goal. Had it finished 1-1, everybody would have said we played a great match."
'Not offside'
The 32-year-old defender said conceding a 12th-minute goal as Didier Drogba took advantage of slack marking was a big blow: "I moved forward, but somebody in our line didn't follow the same movement. Drogba was therefore not in an offside position. It was a pity because it was our only mistake tonight."
'Better organised'
Midfielder Mohamed Sissoko also struck an optimistic note, saying: "All the players are convinced we can succeed in the second leg. It will be very intensive and it's clear that against such teams the game is always going to be quite physical. In the first 20 minutes we struggled a bit, afterwards we managed to get a bit better organised, and in the final part we did quite well."
'Give it a go'
Olof Mellberg predicts a tight contest in the return. "Chelsea will be looking not to concede because then they would go through," said the former Aston Villa FC defender. "They will be looking to defend as well as they can and as we saw today they are quite hard to break down. We will give it a go at home and hopefully we can score an early goal and turn the whole thing around."
