Club assessment
The Argentinian was replaced by Brazilian Ederson 33 minutes into Sunday's 1-1 Ligue 1 draw against AS Saint-Etienne, with scans revealing what the club described as a "a 1cm-long tear to his right adductor". The French champions predict that he will be out of action for "three to four weeks", making him a doubt for the tie against Barça, which kicks off at Stade de Gerland on 24 February and concludes in Spain on 11 March. The former CD Cruz Azul man featured in two UEFA Champions League group-stage games in the autumn and has scored twice in 12 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
