AS Roma right-back Marco Cassetti is expected to be out of action for up to three months after tearing a muscle in his right thigh during the Giallorossi's 2-1 win at home against US Città di Palermo on Wednesday night.
Brief appearance
The 31-year-old had been on as a substitute for just six minutes before sustaining the injury. Subsequent scans revealed that the former US Lecce player, capped five times by Italy, will be out of action for two or three months, meaning he is sure to miss both legs of Roma's UEFA Champions League first knockout round tie against Arsenal FC. Cassetti played in two of Roma's group-stage games. Roma are fifth in Serie A, 13 points adrift of leaders FC Internazionale Milano, and on a run of nine wins in eleven league outings.
