Juventus midfielder Tiago will not play again in 2008 after the Portuguese international twisted his left knee in the early stages of the 1-0 defeat at FC Internazionale Milano on Saturday night.

On Sunday, Tiago underwent a scan which did not show up ligament damages. According to the Juventus medical staff, the 27-year-old "will resume training in about 30-40 days". After a difficult start to the season Tiago had finally broken into Claudio Ranieri's team, appearing six times in Serie A and once in the UEFA Champions League. Juventus, who will visit FC Zenit St. Petersburg on Tuesday in Group H, have already qualified for the knockout stage. They are third in Serie A.
