AS Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani will miss the UEFA Champions League game against Chelsea FC at the Stadio Olimpico after injuring his left thigh during Wednesday's meeting of the sides in London.

Three-week absence
Aquilani limped off after 61 minutes of the Giallorossi's 1-0 Group A loss and, following tests in Rome today, he is expected to be sidelined for three weeks. The 24-year-old Italian international will therefore be unable to help Roma avenge the defeat by Chelsea and improve on their current third place in the group on Matchday 4, 4 November. He has made seven Serie A appearances this season, scoring two goals, as well as featuring in all three of Roma's UEFA Champions League matches.
