Arsenal FC have revealed that long-term injury victim Eduardo da Silva is three weeks away from making a first-team return, although Tomáš Rosický is unlikely to be back in action until the new year as his hamstring problems continue.
Severe injuries
The Croatia striker suffered compound fractures of the tibia and fibula after a tackle from Birmingham City FC's Martin Taylor on 23 February, leading some people to question whether the 25-year-old would be able to resume his career. However, Eduardo's rehabilitation has progressed quicker than expected and Gunners manager Arsène Wenger confirmed that the 25-year-old "is three weeks away from playing competitive football". Turning to Czech Republic midfielder Rosický – who has been sidelined since 29 January – Wenger added: "He should be back after Christmas." Arsenal sit top of UEFA Champions League Group G with seven points from three games.
