Luis Aragonés insisted Fenerbahçe SK "will get better" after the Istanbul side were held to a goalless draw at home to FC Dynamo Kyiv. Already seven points off the pace in the Süper Lig and yet to win in Group G, Aragonés bemoaned bad luck after his side failed to make the most of their chances. His opposite number, Yuri Semin, meanwhile, was happy to have taken a point from a "tough match".

Luis Aragonés, Fenerbahçe coach
I was not happy with my players in the first half, but after the break we did our best and had many chances to score. We played attacking football, but we weren't able to score. Sometimes you need luck. I'm not happy with the result. We deserved to win, everybody could see that. Dynamo defended the whole game. I have been in football for many years as a player and a coach. I have been in this situation before. I have been through tougher times, but each time I was successful. I believe this team will get better.

Yuri Semin, Dynamo coach
We had difficulties in the first half. I had to make changes in order to quicken the tempo in the second half. The players were really tired in the final 20 minutes because they have played a lot of games and have travelled a lot. Today we gained one point, we didn't lose two. Each point is very important for us if we want to get to the next stage. I saw the game in my dream yesterday and it was hard and tough – and that dream came true. You saw what a tough match it was. Fenerbahçe played very well. I want to thank all my players because they did their best, especially the defenders who prevented Fenerbahçe from scoring.
