FC Internazionale Milano coach José Mourinho says his side are "confident in our strength" as the Italian champions look to win the European Champion Clubs' Cup for the first time since 1965. Mourinho led FC Porto to the continental title in 2004 and the pressure is on to repeat the feat with the Nerazzurri, who will face Werder Bremen, Panathinaikos FC and newcomers Anorthosis Famagusta FC in Group B of the UEFA Champions League. Anorthosis captain Nikos Nikolaou, meanwhile, has called on his team to "enjoy the moment" as the Cypriot club embark on a first group-stage campaign.

José Mourinho, Internazionale coach
Looking at the teams we have to face, it's impossible to say whether it will be an easy group stage or not for us. Our first goal is to qualify, our second goal is to finish first in the group. We are of course very motivated and we are confident in our strength. We are eager to start this UEFA Champions League campaign but on Saturday we have our first game in Serie A against [UC] Sampdoria and we must only think about that for now.

Thomas Schaaf, Bremen coach
We can reach the first knockout round from this group, but we have to be careful. We know Inter and Panathinaikos and we remember how difficult it was against them. Just look at Inter's squad – you can see what an attractive opponent they are. They have lots of quality, are reigning champions and with José Mourinho you know what you're going to get. Even though Panathinaikos finished third in Greece, they have made some great summer signings, such as Gilberto from Arsenal [FC]. Famagusta are the great unknowns, but their qualification results show how dangerous they can be. They have achieved incredible results at home. We must not be naïve against them.

Henk Ten Cate, Panathinaikos coach
We have been drawn against some tough opponents. I can't predict how far we'll go, but hopefully we'll improve as the season goes on. We have a good team and you never know what might happen. We can't complain about the draw. There are other tougher groups. Inter are the powerhouse in our group and we will compete for second spot with Bremen and Anorthosis. The Cypriots eliminated Greek champions Olympiacos and are a rival to be reckoned with. Our fans should be realistic. Panathinaikos will play for the best possible results and we hope luck will be on our side.

Nikos Nikolaou, Anorthosis captain
There are no easy or tough groups in this competition. All our opponents are difficult ones but we will take part, soak up the experience and enjoy the moment. Maybe we can take something from our opponents, especially in Cyprus. We have to enjoy these games.
