The 29-year-old forward picked up the injury ahead of the Tricolorii's friendly game against Latvia on Wednesday and is now a doubt for the trip to Prague on 27 August. Mutu opened the scoring in his side's 2-0 win in the opening fixture against Czech champions Slavia last Tuesday. Scans have ruled out a fracture to his damaged elbow, but initial tests suggested he would be out of action for around three weeks.
