Romanian first
The 23-year-old has joined the 2007/08 Romanian league runners-up following a spell in Major League Soccer, where he played for FC Dallas. He is thus the first player to move from the United States to a Romanian club, and joins fellow countrymen Robinson Zapata and the forward Dayro Moreno at the Bucharest side. "I know Steaua are Romania's biggest club and all I can say is that I will do my best and prove that I am a 100 per cent professional player," said Toja. The player joined Dallas in February 2007 after spells at Santa Fe CD and CA River Plate, and was voted Most Valuable Player in the 2007 season, his first in the United States. Steaua meet Galatasaray AS in the third qualifying round this month.
