The 45-year-old former CF Os Belenenses, Porto, Vitória FC, FC Alverca and Portugal Under-21 coach arrives in Lithuania with his new side 4-1 up from the away leg of their UEFA Champions League first qualifying round tie against FC Santa Coloma of Andorra. The victors following the second leg on Tuesday will face last season's beaten UEFA Cup finalists Rangers FC in the second qualifying round. Belarussian Zygmantovich had been unable to coach Kaunas in Europe officially as he lacked the requisite licence, with his assistant Arturas Ramoška taking official command. Despite the arrival of a new trainer, both Zygmantovich and Ramoška will remain on the coaching staff at the club.
