Stress building for Bremen's Jensen

Werder Bremen's Daniel Jensen admits it is a "very stressful situation" as his side take on Olympiacos CFP with their UEFA Champions League lives on the line.

Werder Bremen midfielder Daniel Jensen is expecting a stressful night for all parties at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium on Tuesday as the German side take on Olympaicos CFP in what is virtually a play-off for a place in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.

Stressful situation
Bremen, who lost 3-1 at home to Olympiacos on Matchday 2, go into the crunch game in Athens two points behind their second-placed Group C opponents and must win to advance. Jensen, though, believes the pressure is no less for the hosts. "It's a very stressful situation for us but it's the same for Olympiacos," the Danish international said. "Both teams have a chance to qualify so the pressure is equal for everybody. I think we will see a tentative match, it will not be an open game from the start because there is a lot at stake. I think both teams will be a little tense at the start as we try to find a good rhythm."

'Missed opportunities'
Jensen believes Bremen should not dwell on their loss against the Greek champions on 3 October. "We had a good start in the first game and took the lead but we missed a lot of opportunities and let them back in," he said. "Often in football at this level you get punished and you just have to deal with it and try to put things right next time. They deserved to win on that occasion but we feel we can even things in Athens."

Diego back
With Brazilian playmaker Diego back from suspension and likely to start in Athens in his roaming role, Jensen, alongside Frank Baumann, will be in for a busy night in the heart of the Bremen midfield. The 28-year-old will be hoping he and his team-mates can repeat the performance which brought a 3-2 victory against Real Madrid CF on Matchday 5 and claim a place in the last 16 for the third time in the past four seasons.
