Benfica winger misses Donetsk duel

SL Benfica winger Cristián Rodríguez will miss Tuesday's UEFA Champions League trip to FC Shakhtar Donetsk after injuring his left thigh during Saturday's 1-0 defeat by FC Porto.

The Uruguayan international was injured late on in Lisbon, in what was Benfica's first Liga loss of the season, and joins the suspended Augustin Binya on the unavailable list for the visit to Ukraine. Rodríguez, 22, had been ever-present in Benfica's Group D campaign. The Portuguese side travel to Shakhtar needing a win to overtake their hosts and finish third, thereby qualifying for the UEFA Cup. Coach José Antonio Camacho has drafted in Gonzalo Bergessio and Romeu Ribeiro for the match.
