Fractured elbow
The club have confirmed that the 26-year-old damaged the joint in his right arm during the latter stages of the UEFA Champions League match at Old Trafford on Tuesday night with subsequent x-rays revealing the extent of the problem. He is likely to miss United's back-to-back Group F ties against FC Dynamo Kyiv as well as England's crucial UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifiers against Estonia and Russia on 13 and 17 October, with Steve McClaren's side looking to cling on to a top-two spot in Group E. The former Tottenham Hotspur FC star may also miss England's friendly with Austria on 16 November and their final qualifier against Croatia five days later.
