No Old Trafford trip for Taddei

AS Roma winger Taddei will hope to return for the UEFA Champions League Matchday 3 visit of Sporting Clube de Portugal after being ruled out of Tuesday's Group F fixture at Manchester United FC because of a calf injury.

The 27-year-old Brazilian took a blow to his left leg during last night's 2-2 draw at ACF Fiorentina and was replaced after 34 minutes by Alberto Aquilani. His calf strain is expected to prevent him from playing for up to three weeks, meaning he should be back for the game against the Lisbon club on 23 October. Roma, who beat FC Dynamo Kyiv 2-0 in last week's opener, lost right-back Marco Cassetti to a thigh injury on Monday.
