FK Crvena Zvezda have added to their attacking options by bringing 31-year-old striker Nenad Jestrović back to Belgrade after a ten-season absence.
Ten-year absence
The striker, who scored five goals in 12 international games for Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro, has signed a two-year contract with Milorad Kosanović's side but will not be eligible for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie against Rangers FC, with the Serbian champions trailing 1-0 from the away game in Glasgow. The former OFK Beograd player left home for SC Bastia in the summer of 1997, going on to play for FC Metz, SC Excelsior Mouscron, RSC Anderlecht and Saudi Arabian sides Al Ain and Al Nasr. "I decided to return to domestic football for one reason only - when Crvena Zvezda call, you cannot say no," said Jestrović. "I will be a supporter on Tuesday and I really believe I will play in the group stage later."
