Argentinian club CA Rosario Central have confirmed they are to sell Ángel di María and Andrés Díaz to SL Benfica for €6m.

Di María, a 19-year-old forward, helped Argentina win the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup, scoring three goals in the finals in Canada. According to Rosario, Benfica have acquired 80 per cent of his registration. Di María has played 35 games for the Argentinian club. Benfica have reportedly also bought half the contract of 24-year-old midfielder Díaz. The Portuguese side sold captain Simão to Club Atlético de Madrid on Thursday. Fernando Santos's men will enter this season's UEFA Champions League in the third qualifying round after finishing third in the Liga.
