Dutch defender Jürgen Colin has returned to his homeland after two years in England with Norwich City FC to join AFC Ajax on a one-year deal with an option of two further seasons.
Loan spells
Born in Utrecht in January 1981, Colin progressed through the youth ranks at PSV Eindhoven and into the first team in 2001/02, making four Eredivisie appearances. He subsequently went on loan to Belgian club KRC Genk and NAC Breda either side of a full season at the Philips Stadion in 2003/04. Colin then played 58 games in the second tier for Norwich, but could feature in the UEFA Champions League this season should Ajax negotiate the third and final qualifying round.
