Aquilani blow for Roma and Italy

AS Roma and Italy Under-21 midfielder Alberto Aquilani could be out of action for the next two months after damaging ligaments in his left knee in training on Saturday.

Misses Valencia tie
The 22-year-old, who made his full Italy debut in the recent friendly against Turkey, will miss his side's final UEFA Champions League Group D tie against Valencia CF on 5 December, a match the Giallorossi need to draw to qualify for the knockout stage.

Key player
A product of Roma's youth system, Aquilani has played ten Serie A games and five in the UEFA Champions League this season, as well as helping the Italy Under-21 side qualify for the 2007 European Under-21 Championship in the Netherlands next summer.
