AEK Athens FC have lost Ifeanyi Udeze for at least three weeks after a left-knee injury ruled him out of the Group H opener at AC Milan on Wednesday night.

Unhappy start
The 26-year-old Udeze was hurt in the 1-1 draw at Atromitos FC on Saturday, and was replaced just after the hour mark on his league debut for the club. He is in his first season with AEK, having spent the previous six campaigns at PAOK FC. Udeze had been expected to play at left-back for the Matchday 1 encounter at San Siro, because of Nikos Georgeas’s suspension. Stavros Giorgiopoulos is now likely to take his place. AEK are also without midfielder Akis Zikos, who is a fortnight away from a return to fitness.
