Article body
Dušan Bajević has bolstered his defence ahead of FK Crvena Zvezda's UEFA Champions League assault by signing FK Voždovac's Dusan Andjelković and Aleksandar Pantić.
Chance deserved
Both full-backs have agreed four-year contracts to play under Bajević at the Serbo-Montenegrin double winners. "They were at the highest level at Voždovac and deserve a chance with our club," said Crvena Zvezda director Stevan Stojanović. "Like all our players, the UEFA Champions League will be a real challenge for them." The club have also handed four-year contracts to 19-year-old youth-team products Filip Djordjević, Vladan Milosavljev and Nenad Tomović, with all spending next season on loan at second division FK Rad.
Experienced duo
The left-sided Andjelković spent the second half of last season on loan at Crvena Zvezda, making just three appearances but doing enough to impress his new employers. The 24-year-old had previously played 17 games for Voždovac. The 27-year-old Pantić, who plays on the right, featured in 28 matches for his former club, and has also had the honour of twice playing for his country. Crvena Zvezda will enter the UEFA Champions League in the second qualifying round, to be played in August.
