Two weeks out
The 24-year-old Nigerian suffered the injury in Sunday's 2-0 Ligue 1 win against RC Strasbourg, and is expected to be sidelined for a fortnight. Odemwingie opened the scoring in the sixth minute against Strasbourg, but had to be replaced by Matt Moussilou seven minutes from time.
Dumont absence
Odemwingie, whose goal was his fourth in Ligue 1 this term, joins captain Stéphane Dumont, who has a knee problem, on the injury list. Lille are second in Group D with five points and prior to hosting the Portuguese champions at the Stade de France, travel to AJ Auxerre on 19 November with both sides seeking to close the gap at the top of the table.
