LOSC Lille Métropole will be without winger Daniel Gygax for the final two matchdays of the UEFA Champions League group stage. Swiss winger Gygax dislocated his shoulder on international duty, while fellow midfielder Mathieu Debuchy has sustained ankle ligament damage that will keep him out of Tuesday’s game against SL Benfica.
Villarreal trip
Gygax was ruled out for at least three weeks after scans confirmed his injury. He will miss Benfica's visit to the Stade de France, as well as the trip to play Villarreal CF on 7 December. The 24-year-old was substituted after 31 minutes of Switzerland's 4-2 defeat against Turkey last Wednesday, which saw them squeak into the FIFA World Cup finals on the away goals rule after their play-off.
Ankle knock
France Under-21 midfielder Debuchy was ruled out of the Benfica match after picking up an ankle injury in Saturday's 3-2 defeat against AJ Auxerre in Ligue 1. Nigerian striker Peter Odemwingie also misses out with a similar ailment, while midfielder Stéphane Dumont may be rushed back after a knee injury. Reserve defender Nicolas Plestan is another doubt with a foot problem.
