Three-week absence
The France Under-21 defender sustained the injury in the second half of Saturday's 1-1 Ligue 1 draw at OGC Nice and club doctor Jean-Jacques Amprino believes he will be sidelined for three weeks. The 21-year-old's absence is a blow to Lyon who are already without regular left-back Eric Abidal for three months due to a broken foot. Versatile defender Sylvain Monsoreau is likely to fill the void.
Diatta boost
However, there was better news for Lamine Diatta, who was also forced off at the weekend with a shin injury. The Senegalese defender required a trip to hospital but a scan revealed no fracture and the 30-year-old could return for UEFA Champions League Matchday 6 on 6 December.
