Back home
The 32-year-old Reiziger returns to the Netherlands on a two-year deal after spells abroad with AC Milan, FC Barcelona and Middlesbrough, where he spent the 2004/05 campaign. Reiziger had played under Guus Hiddink for his country and the PSV coach was keen to add his experience after the departures of Lee Young-Pyo and Wilfred Bouma.
Trial spell
Meanwhile, the left-footed 18-year-old Carrizo signs after a successful two-week trial in Eindhoven. He moves from CA San Lorenzo, having risen to prominence with his displays for Argentina's Under-17 and U20 sides. In June, he was part of the team that won the FIFA World Youth Championship in the Netherlands.
Ball move
Reiziger and Carrizo will be joined at the Philips Stadion by Rangers FC left-back Ball, after the 25-year-old agreed a two-year deal with a further one-season option. The free transfer ends a four-year spell in Glasgow for the former English international who started his career at Everton FC.
