Zambrotta's previous contract had been due to expire in 2008. The 28-year-old defender joined Juventus from AS Bari in 2000 and has played 194 games in Serie A for the Bianconeri, winning the Italian championship three times.
Azzurri experience
A former right-winger, Zambrotta made his international debut in 1999 in a friendly against Norway and played at UEFA EURO 2000™, although he missed the final defeat against France through suspension. He also featured for the Azzurri at FIFA World Cup 2002 and UEFA EURO 2004™.
