FK Partizan's hopes of reaching the UEFA Champions League group stage for the second time in three seasons were boosted by Obiore Odita's winner against FC Sheriff tonight.
Odita winner
The Moldovan champions came to Belgrade on the back of a 6-1 aggregate win in the last round against Sliema Wanderers FC, and held out for 63 minutes. But Odita had other ideas and secured a vital lead.
Wednesday rematch
These teams meet again in Tiraspol next Wednesday, and the reward for the eventual winners will be known on Friday when the third qualifying round draw is made.
