"Following the medical examinations that all players have to have before signing, Panathinaikos have decided not to complete the transfer of John Aloisi," the Athens team said on their website.
Reduced terms
The 29-year-old, available on a free transfer from Spanish side CA Osasuna, was initially offered a two-year deal with the option of a third term but problems with a knee injury prompted Panathinaikos to propose reduced terms which Aloisi turned down.
