Ljungberg set to linger at Arsenal

Arsenal FC midfield player Fredrik Ljungberg wants to win more trophies after extending his contract until 2009.

Trophy ambition
The 28-year-old's previous deal was due to expire next summer, but Ljungberg was happy to commit himself to the English FA Cup winners for another four seasons. "I have been at Arsenal nearly seven years now and am really happy to have signed a new contract with the club. I am looking forward to the new season, to winning more trophies and also to playing in our new stadium in 2006."

Double centurion
Ljungberg has played 265 first-team games for the Londoners, scoring 68 goals, since arriving from Halmstads BK in 1998. In that time he has also won two English Premiership titles and the FA Cup on three occasions.
