The 19-year-old, fresh from representing his country at the FIFA World Youth Championship in the Netherlands, has committed his future to the Premiership club along with two other Arsenal youngsters. Defenders Matthew Connolly, 17, and Kerrea Gilbert, 18, have been given professional contracts, with the Londoners describing the trio as "three of our bright young prospects".
Senior experience
The Amsterdam-born Owusu-Abeyie made one league appearance for Arsenal last season, but also played in the FA Cup, English League Cup and UEFA Champions League.
