Anderlecht swoop for Serhat

Five years of success
The 24-year-old, who signed a three-year contract with the Brussels club on Friday afternoon, was born in Germany and spent his formative years with Karlsruher SC before joining Fenerbahçe in 2000. In five seasons with the Istanbul side, Serhat scored 41 goals in 125 league games and helped Fenerbahçe to three Superleague titles.

European hopes
"I have had a very good career at Fenerbahçe, but Anderlecht is a step closer to western Europe, and that is why I chose to come here," said Serhat, who made his international debut in 2002 and has subsequently scored three times in eleven appearances for his country.
