New blood for Panathinaikos

Panathinaikos FC sign two young players from Panionios NFC as they prepare for the UEFA Champions League.

Youth internationals
The Alpha Ethniki runners-up have signed 22-year-old striker Evagelos Mantzios on a three-year contract and 20-year-old defensive midfielder Alexandros Tziolis on a similar deal, with the option of a further two years. Both players are Greek Under-21 internationals who played over 20 league games in 2004/05.

Theodoridis signs
In addition, the club have also landed left-sided midfielder Georgios Theodoridis on a free transfer from PAOK FC. The 24-year old has agreed a two-year contract, with the option of a two-season extension. Theodoridis started his career at Aris Thessaloniki FC before joining local rivals PAOK in 2002. He won the 2003 Greek Cup with PAOK, beating Aris in the final.
