The 24-year-old becomes the Romanian champions' first summer recruit as they prepare for their UEFA Champions League qualifiers. To date, he has scored 31 goals in 103 Divizia A games with AS Rocar Bucuresti, FC Universitatea Craiova, FC National Bucuresti, AFC Rapid Bucuresti and Otelul.
Successful season
In the 2004/05 season, he scored 14 times to finish level with Rapid's Daniel Niculae as the league's second-top scorer. The leaders were FC Dinamo Bucuresti's Claudiu Niculescu and FC Sportul Studentesc's Gigel Bucur, with 21 goals apiece.
