The 30-year-old centre-back, a product of the Panathinaikos academy, broke into the senior team during the 1995/96 campaign and has subsequently accumulated 209 league appearances in eleven seasons with the Athens club.
National service
A member of Greece's UEFA EURO 2004™-winning squad, he suffered the disappointment of finishing second behind Olympiacos CFP in the Alpha Ethniki in 2004/05, but is now on national duty with Otto Rehhagel's team at the FIFA Confederations Cup.
