Milan rivals drawn together

AC Milan were paired with FC Internazionale Milano, and 1985 finalists Liverpool FC and Juventus FC meet again.

AC Milan were paired with FC Internazionale Milano in today's draw for the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals in Nyon, Switzerland, while there will also be a repeat of the 1985 final between Liverpool FC and Juventus FC.

Holders eliminated
Milan, the 2003 winners, are targeting their seventh success in Europe's most prestigious club competition. Their opponents Inter were the last team to qualify for the last eight having eliminated holders FC Porto on Tuesday. Liverpool and Juventus will meet for the first time since the 1985 final in Brussels, won by the Serie A side but overshadowed by the death of 39 fans.

Leaders meet
In the remaining two ties, the French league leaders will play their Dutch counterparts after Olympique Lyonnais drew PSV Eindhoven. Chelsea FC, along with Lyon the only remaining sides never to have lifted the European Champion Clubs' Cup, will tackle FC Bayern München - conquerors of Arsenal FC - in the final quarter-final tie. Chelsea manager José Mourinho won the competition with Porto last season.

Semi-final draw
The draw was also made for the semi-finals, with teams learning who their potential opponents will be should they reach the last four. The quarter-finals will be played over two legs, starting on 5/6 April and concluding a week later. The winners will progress to the semi-finals, with the two legs scheduled for 26/27 April and 3/4 May. The final will take place at the Atatürk Olympic stadium in Istanbul, Turkey on Wednesday 25 May.
