Magath wary of Arsenal backlash

Two goals from Claudio Pizarro and a third from Hasan Salihamidzic put FC Bayern München on course for a resounding UEFA Champions League victory against Arsenal FC at the Olympiastadion. But Kolo Touré's late consolation for the English champions gave their otherwise disgruntled manager Arsène Wenger hope and irritated his Bayern counterpart Felix Magath.

I'm not satisfied. Arsenal are such a good team that they could score three or four goals. I don't understand why we let them back into the match when they were already down and out and had lost their desire. We could have made the game safe here by scoring a fourth goal. Some were thinking the match was already won. We clearly dominated Arsenal in the second half and let that seduce us. We just didn't concentrate at the end. Their goal makes things tense. We've got a lot of hard work in front of us. That goal they got really hurts.

It would probably be easier to cry right now. This was our worst performance so far in the Champions League. We simply gave away the goals and I'm not satisfied. I'm very disappointed with the quality of our performance. Bayern's performance was very disciplined but I expect a lot more from my team. But of course the goal was very important for us. At 3-0 we faced a real struggle, but 3-1 at least gives us a chance. We are in a very, very negative situation but it's definitely possible for us to do something in two weeks' time. It's very hard to find a reason why we performed so badly tonight but I'm optimistic. I have faith in the quality of my players.

I know the goals were very easy against us. In my time here, we have never conceded three easy goals like that - but sometimes it happens. It would have been impossible to go through at 3-0 - but with the goal we have chances. Everything is now possible.
