Trophy-laden career
The former Italian international, who will turn 39 in April, has collected 21 major honours in his career with the Italian champions, including seven Serie A titles, four European Champion Clubs' Cups and two European/South American Cups.
United test
This season the centre-back has appeared seven times in Serie A and twice in the UEFA Champions League group stage. Milan are currently second in Serie A, two points behind Juventus FC, and will face Manchester United FC in the Champions League first knockout round with the first leg at Old Trafford on 23 February.
