Impressive rise
Vanden Borre, who will turn 17 this Sunday, has been rewarded for the dramatic impact he has made since his Anderlecht debut against R. Charleroi SC last March. The right-back subsequently became Belgium's youngest debutant since 1911 when he was handed his first international cap against Turkey in April.
European assignment
Vanden Borre, who joined Anderlecht at the age of eight, will get another chance to impress when his club side take on Group G rivals Werder Bremen in Brussels on UEFA Champions League Matchday 3 on Wednesday.
