Article body
Permanent option
The 16-year-old forward has been added to the club's youth ranks and will have 12 months to prove himself worthy of a permanent contract, with Anderlecht holding an option to buy Lamah in their deal with his second division side RCS Visé. R. Standard de Liège had also expressed an interest in Lamah but the teenager said: "When the biggest club in the country want you, you cannot turn them down."
Youngster given chance
Anderlecht coach Hugo Broos is renowned for giving young players a chance, with 16-year-old Anthony Vanden Borre a part of their first-team squad for the 2004/05 season. After a promising pre-season, Vanden Borre was on the bench last week as Anderlecht lost 1-0 at SL Benfica in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie. The return match in Brussels will be played on 24 August with the winners going through to the group stage.
