Three-year deal
Mešic has agreed a three-year deal with Hajduk, who won the Croatian Super Cup last weekend. He arrives from French second division side Besançon RC, where he made 13 appearances last season and scored three goals.
'Prove my worth'
"The time has come for me to develop my career further," said the 24-year-old, a former Bosnia-Herzegovnian Under-21 international. "A season with Hajduk will bring many challenges, but I'll be trying to prove my worth here."
Chequered career
Mešic started out in Bosnia-Herzegovina with FK Sloboda Tuzla before moving to France's FC Nantes Atlantique in 1999/00. However, in four seasons at the club, he made only one substitute appearance and was loaned to FK Sarajevo and NK Željeznicar before joining Besançon.
