Magath moves quickly
New coach Felix Magath moved quickly to offer Trochowski an improved deal, backing his belief that the striker, who has represented Germany at youth level, is ready to step up to the first team on a permanent basis.
Breakthrough
Under Bayern’s previous coach, Ottmar Hitzfeld, Trochowski made ten substitute appearances in the Bundesliga during the 2003/04 season and scored one goal.
Görlitz goes
Bayern also announced that they have agreed a deal with city neighbours TSV 1860 München that will take 21-year-old Andreas Görlitz to Bayern, subject to a medical examination expected to be take place next week. The Germany under-21 midfield player is expected to sign a three-year deal, which will expire on 30 June 2007.
