Monaco count cost of victory

AS Monaco FC's Jérôme Rothen and Dado Pršo are doubts for the trip to Chelsea FC after injuries against OGC Nice.

AS Monaco FC winger Jérôme Rothen and striker Dado Pršo are very doubtful for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge.

Friday victory
Rothen sustained a groin injury during Monaco's 2-1 Ligue 1 win at OGC Nice on Friday, and Croatian international Pršo picked up a foot injury. "Dado had a scan yesterday which revealed a crack in a toe. He will have to rest for a while," said club doctor Eric Buracchi. "Jérôme has a groin inflammation."

Squillaci hope
Monaco could welcome back central defender Sébastien Squillaci, who has been struggling with a thigh problem. He will play in a reserve match on Sunday, though Buracchi said they would not take any risks over his fitness. Monaco won the first leg against Chelsea 3-1.

Duo suspended
The Premiership club will be without Marcel Desailly and Claude Makelele for the second leg as both French internationals are suspended. Chelsea will also miss Republic of Ireland winger Damien Duff, who dislocated his shoulder during training.
