Showpiece match
The capacity for the showpiece match at the home of FC Schalke 04 will be 52,000, with more than half those seats to be divided between supporters of the finalists, who will be able to order tickets directly through their clubs.

Online application window
In addition, approximately 7,000 tickets are being made available to the general public and neutral football fans wishing to attend the final can apply for tickets between 12.00CET on 12 March and 12.00CET on 31 March, when the online application window closes.

Maximum per applicant
Sales will be restricted to a maximum of two per applicant and all applications received during the 20-day 'window' will go into a ballot. All incorrect or incomplete applications will be rejected along with any multiple entries.

Dispatch dates
The lucky 'winners' in the ballot will be notified by the end of April. Tickets will then be dispatched two to three weeks before the final. Prices range from €60 for Category 4 tickets to €160 for Category 1. Tickets in Categories 2 and 3 cost €120 and €90 respectively.

Ticketing terms
All applicants for tickets must accept the ticketing terms and conditions. Action will be taken in cases of infringement. Online applications will be checked against police data to ensure that anyone banned from stadiums is unsuccessful in any attempt to purchase tickets.

Checks planned
Persons attending the final are warned that tickets will be personalised and that checks at the stadium are planned. UEFA underlines that no tickets are being distributed via agencies or brokers. European football's governing body also encourages fans not to be lured into deals with touts who not only demand exorbitant prices but are often not in possession of the tickets they illegally attempt to sell.

Ticket distribution
Of the 52,000 places in the Arena AufSchalke, each finalist will be assigned some 27 per cent - approximately 14,000 tickets. Around 10,000 will be distributed to the European 'Football Family' comprising national associations and all the UEFA Champions League commercial partners. Some 1,700 will be assigned to the local 'Football Family' as the final is being played in Germany.

Security requirements
A further 2,600 tickets will be marketed with hospitality packages by the local organising committee. Finally, 2,700 tickets will be taken up by increased media and security requirements.
