Siena beaten
The 29-year-old suffered the injury during Sunday's 4-2 victory against AC Siena and was substituted in the second half. Birindelli, who played three times as Juve reached the knockout stage of the Champions League and has appeared eleven times in Serie A this term, will definitely sit out both legs of the tie against Depor in late February and early March.
Ferrara out
Should the Italian champions advance, the full-back would also be doubtful for the quarter-final first leg on either 23 or 24 March. Juve coach Marcello Lippi has also been deprived of the services of Ciro Ferrara for around two weeks after the veteran central defender, 36, bruised a thigh on Sunday.
