Rome return
Conceição has rejoined Lazio in a one-year deal and should be registered in time to face Portuguese side SL Benfica in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. The 28-year-old was part of Lazio's double-winning team of 1999/00 and had moved to Inter from Parma AC in 2001.
Contract cancelled
Meanwhile, Italian international midfielder Di Biagio, 32, ended his four-year stay at the San Siro today by agreeing terms with Brescia. As with Conceição, Inter had cancelled the contract of the former Foggia Calcio and AS Roma player by mutual consent.
Zanetti stays
One man staying at Inter is club captain Javier Zanetti. The Argentinian international has extended his contract with the Nerazzurri, which was due to expire next summer, until 2007. Zanetti said: "When this contract ends, I will have played for Inter for 13 years. It is a personal victory for me." The 29-year-old wing-back joined Inter from Argentina's CA Banfield in 1995.
