Finally resolved
The 28-year-old has agreed a two-year contract with AEK, with the option of a further 12 months if all goes well. The move ends a summer of speculation about the future of a player who was the Alpha Ethniki's top scorer in 2002/03.
Prolific scorer
Liberopoulos started his top-flight career with Kalamata FC and moved to Panathinaikos in the summer of 1996. He stayed there for seven seasons, scoring 72 goals in 86 league matches.
Abonsah joins
AEK have also recruited central defender Kofi Abonsah from FC PAOK Thessaloniki on a three-year contract. The 25-year-old Ghanaian international will be reunited with coach Dusan Bajevic for the third time in his career. Bajevic first signed him for Olympiacos CFP in 1999 and then took him to PAOK a year later.
